Das Papiermaterial ist Grundlage jeder Skulptur. Die Oberflächen sind jedoch unterschiedlich: mal glatt und glänzend, mal rau und sandig, gewachst oder lackiert, oder offenporig und oxidiert. Allen Skulpturen gleich ist: Sie vertragen keine Feuchtigkeit!
Da sie jedoch im Raum stehen sind sie Staub ausgeliefert. Zur gelegentlichen Reinigung empfehle ich entweder einen weichen Pinsel, oder einen Föhn. Bei glatten Oberflächen ginge auch ein trockenes Tuch. Niemals jedoch feucht abwischen.
The paper material forms the basis of every sculpture. However, the surfaces vary: sometimes smooth and shiny, sometimes rough and sand-like, waxed or varnished, or open-pored and oxidized. One thing all sculptures have in common: they cannot tolerate moisture!
However, since they are displayed in a room, they are exposed to dust. For occasional cleaning, I recommend either a soft brush or a hair dryer. For smooth surfaces, a dry cloth would also work. However,
never wipe them with a wet cloth.
Beim Transport der Skulpturen, die ein schwereres metallenes Fundament haben, ist zu beachten, dass sie immer am schweren Ende zu heben sind, da die Verbindung von Papier und Fundament sonst brechen könnte.
When transporting sculptures that have a heavy metal base, be sure to always lift them by the heavy end, as the connection between the paper and the base could otherwise break.
Reparatur
REPAIR
Falls die Skulptur trotz der besten Behandlung Schaden nehmen sollte: Dies ist kein Drama.
Meist lassen sich Bruchstellen gut reparieren, wenn auch der Farbauftrag an diesen Stellen manchmal schwierig ist. Daher bitte ich darum: Lassen Sie Ihre Skulptur im Falle eines Schadens nur von mir reparieren. Sie müssten diese lediglich zu mir ins Atelier bringen oder zuschicken. Die Reparatur ist kostenlos.
If the sculpture should happen to get damaged despite the best care: It’s no big drama.
In most cases, cracks can be repaired easily, even if the paint application in those areas can sometimes be challenging. Therefore, I ask that you let me be the only one to repair your sculpture in the event of damage. All you need to do is bring it to my studio or send it to me. The repair is free of charge.
