JARVIS HELWIG

Geboren am 16. 11. 1981 in Haguenau/Frankreich, aufgewachsen im Elsass, später in Nordfriesland, im Kreis der dänischen Minderheit.

Studium der Philosophie, Kunstgeschichte und Komparatistik in Berlin.

Seit 2010 in Husum. Bis 2018 handwerklich tätig in den Bereichen der Möbelrestauration, Vergoldung und Bilderrahmung.

Seit 2018 freischaffender Bildhauer, lebt und arbeitet in seinem Atelier im Husumer Kavaliershaus.

Born on 16. November 1981 in Haguenau/France, Jarvis Helwig grew up in Alsace, then in North Frisia, within the Danish minority.

He studied philosophy, art history and comparative literature in Berlin.

He returned to Husum from 2010 to 2018, working as a craftsman in the fields of furniture restoration, gilding and picture framing.

Jarvis has been a freelance sculptor since 2018. He lives and works in Husum, in his studio in the Kavaliershaus (Cavalier house).
