These SemiNudes are a series created for the upcoming exhibition Spaces of Colour (Kunsthaus Kappeln), inspired by Sebastian Richter's two-colour nude paintings and Selma Goebel's textile paintings.

DIE HOFFNUNGSSCHIMMER sind ursprünglich für ein Kirchenevent geschaffen worden; einem Konzert im Rahmen des Projektes Dorfkirche, mon amour. Sie sind eine Serie von 12; eine besondere Zahl in Religion und Mythologie. Ihre Bedeutung und Relevanz ist aber davon unabhängig und geht weit darüber hinaus.
THE GLIMMERS OF HOPE were originally created for a church event: a concert as part of the
Dorfkirche, mon amour
project. They are a series of 12, a special number in religion and mythology. However, their relevance, their significance, is independent of this and goes far beyond it.

Die Falte bedeutet die Differenz an sich, ist Individualität - ist die Falte der Seele. Aber so verschieden die Ausformungen, so gleich ist das profane Grundmaterial, so gleich ist die verletzliche Blösse.
The fold signifies the difference in itself, is individuality - is the fold of the soul. But as different as the shapes are, as similar is the profane basic material, as similar is the vulnerable pallor.
